About this recipe:This spicy Indian seasoning is made from toasted sesame seeds and dried red chilli peppers. It takes some effort to grind it down with a mortar and pestle but it is definitely worth it. This seasoning is great for rice. It also adds a lovely flavour when sprinkled into Andhra kooras (sabjis). The powder will keep for a few months in a jar on a shelf.
240g sesame seeds
1/2 teaspoon sesame oil
10 dried red chilli peppers, or to taste
salt to taste
