    Makes: 2 dozen pieces

    • 500g milk chocolate
    • 25g unsalted butter
    • 375g tin condensed sweetened milk
    • 1 to 2 drops vanilla extract (optional)
    • cocoa powder, for dusting

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Extra time:2hr chilling  ›  Ready in:2hr15min

    1. In a heatproof bowl break up 500g chocolate; the smaller the pieces the quicker they will melt. Add the unsalted butter to the chocolate. Pour in the whole can of condensed milk and add vanilla.
    2. Set the bowl over a saucepan with water - make sure the water doesn't touch the bowl or you will burn the chocolate! Set over low heat and stir occasionally till melted.
    3. Once it's all melted, remove from heat and give it a good mix.
    4. Grease a square tin and line with parchment. Pour in the chocolate mixture and even it out. Put the fudge inside the fridge and let it set for 2 to 3 hours.
    5. Once fudge is set, cut into squares (not too big or too small) and coat fudge in cocoa powder - this adds more flavour and stops it from melting!

Do not stir too much or chocolate will not melt how you want it!  -  18 Oct 2016
