Mars Bar Krispie Cake

This recipe makes one tray bake (32cm x 20cm) which I usually cut into 12 larger pieces or 24 smaller pieces. Enjoy!

    • 5 Mars bars (standard size)
    • 3 tablespoons golden syrup
    • 90g unsalted butter
    • 400g milk chocolate
    • Milky Bar Buttons
    • White chocolate star sprinkles
    • Rice Krispies (enough to coat)

    1. Grease the tin with a little butter.
    2. Chop the Mars bars and melt in a non-stick pan along with the syrup and butter. Melt gradually on a low heat.
    3. Once melted, add the rice Krispies gradually. Fold and stir to ensure that they are well coated.
    4. Press the mixture into the tin and put in the fridge to set.
    5. Once the mixture is set, melt 400g of milk chocolate in a non-stick pan. Pour the melted chocolate over the top of the tin and spread evenly.
    6. Top with Milky Bar buttons and stars (or decorations of your choice).
    7. Put back in the fridge to set.
    8. Remove from the fridge and leave out for 15 minutes before cutting into squares (this will stop the chocolate from cracking).
