Açaí smoothie bowl

    10 min

This is my favourite açaí bowl recipe, which uses very few ingredients. Acai bowls make a great breakfast, giving you two of your five a day.

    2 people made this

    Makes: 1 bowl

    • 100 g frozen açaí pulp
    • 1 large banana
    • soya milk, as needed
    • granola, for topping

    Prep:10min  ›  Ready in:10min

    1. Blend the açaí pulp with 2/3 of the banana and enough soya milk to make the blender run. Start small (2 tablespoons) and add more as needed. Stop when it reaches a thick consistency, like frozen yoghurt.
    2. Pour it into a bowl and top with your favourite granola and the leftover banana in slices.

Love acai bowls but they are so expensive to buy so thought I'd try making it. I was able to get the acai purée at Whole Foods and followed recipe except that I added about 1 tsp of honey into the mix. Needed more than 2 Tbs of milk. I used about 3. Then topped with granola, banana, blueberries, strawberries and almond butter. Delicious!  -  24 Sep 2017  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
