Easiest fettuccine carbonara

    This is one dish my kids absolutely love! It might not be completely authentic but it's quick and easy and you can get away with using any kind of pasta.

    Serves: 5 

    • 1 (500g) packet fettuccine pasta
    • 8 rashers bacon
    • 6 eggs
    • 300ml cream
    • 1 small packet of grated Parmesan cheese

    Prep:10min  ›  Cook:10min  ›  Ready in:20min 

    1. Bring a large pot of water to the boil and boil the pasta till al dente.
    2. Dice the bacon and cook in a frying pan over medium high heat till done and crispy.
    3. In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, cream and cheese.
    4. Once pasta is cooked, drain and place back in the pot along with the bacon and the egg mixture. Stir until well combined over low heat. Serve and enjoy!

    Altered ingredient amounts. I only used 250ml of cream (good for those who dislike cream) and about 250g of parmesan.  -  22 Apr 2011
