    About this recipe: Juicing greens, such as romaine lettuce and kale, with lemon and fresh ginger give a less sweet taste to green juices. Great when trying to reduce sugar in your diet.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • 1 head romaine lettuce
    • 4 leaves kale
    • 1 (1cm) piece fresh ginger
    • 2 apples, quartered
    • 1 lemon

    1. Process romaine lettuce, kale, ginger, apples and lemon through a juicer. Stir before drinking.

    Like this green juice quite a bit, however the lemon was a bit sour, and I added a cup of grapes to sweeten it. Next time I will reduce the lemon.  -  30 Jan 2013  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

    Delicious! I am on a 30-Day juice cleanse and this definitely helped break up the monotony of Green Juices. Only change I made was adding HALF a head of romaine instead of the whole head.
