About this recipe: This is a delightful little Halloween dessert. It's not actually a drinkable cocktail - it's just jelly served in a cocktail glass and there's definitely no blood involved. This version includes vodka for the adults but you can make a non-alcoholic version and serve it in a different style of glass for the kids.


Serves: 6 

  • 2 packets red jelly crystals
  • 125ml vodka (optional)

  1. Combine the jelly crystals from 1 packet and 250ml of boiling water; stir until all the jelly is dissolved.
  2. Add the vodka if using and 125ml of cold water. If not using the vodka, add 250ml of cold water. Combine well and let cool.
  3. Pour into serving glasses, cocktail glasses work well. Place in the fridge to set.
  4. Pour the second packet of jelly crystals on a side plate. On a second side plate add some water. Dip the jelly glass rims into the water, then into the jelly crystals to create a red rim on the glass.
