About this recipe: Quick to bake, even quicker to make! These biscuit bites are made with bananas and oats and that's it!

VegetarianCheff County Dublin, Ireland

Makes: 8 bites

  • 1 medium banana
  • 80g oats
  • Optional extras
  • chocolate chips, raisins, drizzle of honey, cinnamon, etc.

Prep:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min

  1. Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
  2. Get a bowl and mash the banana using a fork until it is as smooth as possible.
  3. Measure 80g of oats then stir in the oats with the banana. If your mixture is gloopy and not very thick, add more oats. (If you want to add any extras, now is the time to do so).
  4. Grab a baking tray and line it with baking paper.
  5. Place the mixture onto the baking tray as little cookies or one very large cookie.
  6. Bake in your preheated oven for 15 minutes.
  7. Enjoy!

If you don't use enough oats, the baked cookies will be rubbery. For a small banana use less oats; for a large banana use more oats.

Great to store overnight for a previously baked breakfast. - 11 Sep 2016

This recipe is a lifesaver! Made 3 medium sized cookies for my children and they were begging me for more, such an amazing substitute for unhealthy biscuits!! - 11 Sep 2016
