Mummified pizza
These easy mini French-bread pizzas with olive slices for eyes and string cheese for wrapping are perfect for your trick or treaters before they head out the door!
Ingredients
Serves: 4
- 4 slices French baguette
- 60g pizza sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 pimento-stuffed green olives, cut in half
- 2 string cheese sticks, pulled into thin strips

- Preheat oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
- Place bread on a baking tray; toast in oven for 3 to 5 minutes.
- Spoon pizza sauce evenly over toast. Sprinkle with oregano and garlic powder. Use olive slices to make 2 eyes near one end of the toast. Place strips of string cheese across toast to make what looks like 'mummy wrap'.
- Bake in preheated oven until cheese melts, 3 to 5 minutes.

Made these the night before Halloween and our kiddo liked them. Instead of French bread though, I just used refrigerated pizza crust dough that I cut into rectangles just because she's not a fan of French bread and black olives because she doesn't like green ones. Baked for 5 minutes and broiled on low for 2 more because we like our pizza well done. Only 3 stars because my 8 year old daughters didn't notice they were mummy's. I asked why one was taking an eye off and she said because it was gross.
