Just made this for the second time, I use slightly less sugar (180g) light brown instead of caster and add a quarter teaspoon of cinnamon. Very delicious, will save me a fortune, as I am addicted to banana bread. - 27 Feb 2018
I made this today!!! I had a few ripe bananas and id never made banana bread before so thought I would give it a bash as I had all the ingredients anyway! I initially read the recipe wrong, despite having printing it out! and I chucked all the ingredients in a bowl together, I didnt do the flour and baking soda separate in it all went mixed it with my two hands as I couldn't find my hand mixer ends so hands it was (they were clean!) once that was mixed I chucked in the mashed banana gave it a good old mix and chucked it in the greased tin, I initially put it in the middle of the old and halfway through moved to the top , it turned out AMAZING!!!! yes its sweet and if your a calorie counter then cut the sugar down but once you start eating this you cant stop! I will definitely make it again for sure and just because it tastes sweet I dont think it should lose a star for that, each to their own regarding the sweetness factor well worth making! and cheap to make! lovely thank you Joy for sharing! - 24 Feb 2018
Made this tonight but doubled the recipes into 2 cake tins also added blueberries and teaspoon vanilla essence and sprinkled some Demerara sugar over the top before baking for added crunch tastes delicious !! - 23 Jul 2017
