Easy-Peasy Lemon Drizzle Cake

    This is my homemade Lemon Drizzle Cake, made in easy standards. It has the glorious taste in your mouth with a sprinkle of basic lemon juice and sugar. Do making these when you are bored, these cakes will set you off with a treat! Give it a go! ;)

    • 400g caster sugar
    • 225g butter, softened
    • 2 eggs
    • 225g plain flour
    • 1/2 (0.5) teaspoon of baking powder
    • 1/2 (0.5) teaspoon of salt (or a quick pinch of salt)


    1. Follow the recipe in order of steps above and mix, try and make this yummy treat!
    2. Preheat oven to 175/180c (gas mark 4/5)
    3. Bake for 20 to 30 minutes, until firm and springy on top
    4. Cool on cooling rack, and chill for 15 minutes
    5. Once completed, sprinkle of lemon juice and caster/granulated sugar on top , then chop in to 9 square chunks and serve! Happy eating!
