About this recipe: This easy, yeast-free bread is made with quinoa, spelt flour, almond milk and seeds. Add a hint of sweetness from treacle or honey.


Serves: 10 

  • 420g spelt flour
  • 120ml toasted, hulled sunflower seeds
  • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
  • 475ml almond milk
  • 185g cooked quinoa
  • 1 tablespoon treacle, molasses or honey

  1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Grease a 23x13cm loaf tin.
  2. Combine flour, sunflower seeds, chia seeds, salt and bicarbonate of soda in a bowl; mix in almond milk, cooked quinoa and treacle. Transfer into the prepared loaf tin.
  3. Bake in the preheated oven until a skewer inserted into the centre comes out clean, about 1 hour.
