Delicious light and fruity!

    45 min

This is a recipe my husband and I have enjoyed for many years and I would like to share it with you. It is easy to make yet sophisticated enough for a dinner party starter or as a late tea with fresh salad and rustic bread.

    1 person made this

    Serves: 1

    • 2 fresh figs
    • 2 pieces Camambert cheese
    • 2 rashers lean bacon

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:40min  ›  Ready in:45min

    1. Heat oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
    2. Cut a cross on top of the figs and gently squeeze sides of figs to open the fig up enough to insert a good amount of cheese.
    3. Having filled the fig with cheese, wrap a slice of bacon around each fig, securing with a cocktail stick.
    4. Place in the oven and cook for 40 to 45 minutes, until cheese is melted and fig is cooked and feels soft.
    5. Serve immediately with fresh salad and homemade bread and enjoy!

For garlic lovers, add crushed or sliced garlic to cheese before cooking.
