1 apple, grated
2 medium carrots, peeled and grated
1 medium onion, peeled and chopped
4 tablespoons rapeseed oil or olive oil
3 tablespoons sugar
caraway seeds to taste (optional)

Place the sauerkraut in a colander and squeeze out excess liquid. Chop well.
Mix sauerkraut with the grated apple, carrots and chopped onion. Add oil and sugar, mix well. Season to taste with caraway seeds, salt and pepper.
Place in the fridge for at least half an hour before serving.
