Hardy's chicken curry

This chicken curry is based on a traditional Indian curry recipe. People have told me it is the best chicken curry they've ever had.

you dont say when to take the whole spices out so i removed cinnamon stick prior to the chicken going inand left the rest till the end. also i added 1tbl chilli powder and 1 tbl lemon juice, gave it a nice kick, i like hot curries, good recipe

well i have never been happy with the curries iav have made in the past..but after following your recipe i have really enjoyed it thank you so much.. but next time i do it i will put a little bit more spice for me.x

Made the best chicken curry really good. If you are a fan of regular curries I would recommend you purchase the The Curry Guy Book by Dan Toombs. Guy has worked in many indian reataurants & has picked up all of the chefs tips on curry dishes. The most important is the base sauce which most restaurants use. It's in his book. I make a couple of gallon of this & bag it in 500grams soup bags & freeze. All you have to do is add the relevant spices & meat to the recipe you have chosen. The most authentic currys I have ever made. Give it a go I'm sure you will be pleased.

Made this the other night and it was so simple to make. Sent some round for my father in law who loves curry and he said it was one of the best curries he'd tasted. Added a little chilli powder to give it a bit more of a kick. Will definitely be making again
