Rice and Okro Stew


    Rice and okro stew actually tastes better than you can imagine. Okro stew tastes great with banku but with rice it takes it to another level. Try this continental Ghanaian Dish.

    • 4 fresh tomatoes blended/grounded
    • 1 large onion sliced
    • 1 clove garlic minced
    • 1 cup palm oil
    • 2 hot pepper grounded
    • 2 fresh salmon fish cut steam
    • 2 Seasoning cubes
    • 2 cups sliced okro
    • 1teaspn salt peter
    • Ā½ pound steamed beef with garlic


    1. Steamed Okro: Put chopped Okro, onion and salt peter in a pan of water and allow to boil
    2. Heat oil in hot sauce pan over medium heat.
    3. fry onions till golden brown.
    4. Add blended tomatoes and pepper
    5. Add beef with broth and simmer for 15minutes.
    6. Add steamed salmon fish, seasoning cubes, salt peter and simmer till liquid in stew drains.
    7. Then add -Steamed okro and allow to cook for another 15minutes
    8. Serve with plain boiled rice.
