    About this recipe: Fennel and avocado are mixed together and seasoned with extra-virgin olive oil and nutmeg in this quick and easy Italian salad recipe.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 4 

    • 3 bulbs fennel, thinly sliced
    • 1 avocado - peeled, pitted and cubed
    • 2 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, or to taste
    • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
    • salt to taste

    1. Mix fennel and avocado together in a bowl. Stir in oil, nutmeg and salt; mix until well combined.

    Fresh and tasty combination of flavors. I liked it as written in the recipe. But I also made it with adding an orange, a little bit of purple onion, and a splash of red wine vinegar.     Simple and easy, this salad is perfect for a last minute addition to your table. I didn't think I would like soft avocado and crunchy fennel, but it works.If you don't like the anise flavor of fennel, like me, you will still like this salad.
