This is our family's recipe for fresh pear pie topped with a brown sugar crumble. Serve it cool or warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Using freshly-grated nutmeg will make a difference.
Far too much butter in the crumble mix making it impossible to make breadcrumb texture without adding more flour (and sugar) which I had to do. It is a very sweet pudding so I would make with less sugar next time in the pear filling. - 14 Sep 2017
