Blackberry and almond smoothie

    Quick and easy to make, this smoothie will give you a real nutrient boost to start your day.

    • 100g blackberries
    • 1/2 banana
    • 120ml soya yoghurt or low-fat natural yoghurt
    • 1 heaped dessertspoon (10g) ground almonds
    • 30ml skimmed or soya milk
    • flaked almonds, to finish

    1. Put the berries, banana, yogurt, ground almonds and a little of the milk in a tall jug and blend with a hand-held blender until smooth.
    2. Add more milk until the desired consistency is reached. Serve in a tall glass topped with a few flaked almonds.
