This Indian dish is great way to spice up traditional mashed turnips. This dish is great garnished with fresh coriander or parsley and served with basmati rice, or with naan bread. The amount of chillies you use really controls the heat factor in this dish.
Homemade ginger-garlic paste can be made by mashing equal parts garlic and fresh ginger root into a paste.
This was my first time cooking with turnips, and this turned out beautifully! My partner even asked for seconds! Great flavor, easy to make, and surprisingly filling served with rice. I didn't have green chiles but added ~1/8 tsp cayenne pepper, and it was a perfect level of spice without being too overwhelming. Will definitely make again! - 08 Jan 2018 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

This was delicious! I didn't have fresh tomatoes, so I used a can of crushed tomatoes. - 17 Jun 2017 (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
