Chocolate Christmas logs

    These mini chocolate logs are just great to make with the children, and us adults, too! They are not too big and you can decorate them however you like!

    Makes: 9 mini logs

    • For the logs
    • 150g butter
    • 150g caster sugar
    • 3 eggs
    • 150g self raising flour
    • 40g cocoa powder
    • For the icing
    • 2 to 3 tablespoons icing sugar
    • 2 to 3 teaspoons water
    • 3 drops food colouring

    1. Cream together the butter and sugar till light and fluffy, then beat in the eggs one at a time till well incorporated.
    2. Next add the flour and cocoa powder and mix well. Pour evenly into mini log silicone mould.
    3. Bake in a preheated 150 C / Gas 2 oven for 15 to 20 minutes. Let cool, then unmould.
    4. For the icing, combine icing sugar, water and food colouring. Stir till smooth. Use to decorate the cooled logs as desired.

    Hope you all like this recipe, you can make the same with a rectangle loaf tine, just make a really large one  -  08 Dec 2016
