Easy peasy bran loaf.

    A truly moist bran loaf that keeps well and tastes delicious.

    • 1 mug bran flakes
    • 1 mug mixed fruits
    • 1 mug self raising flour
    • 1/2 mug sugar
    • 1/2 mug glace cherries (optional)
    • 1 egg
    • 1 mug of milk


    1. Put all ingredients EXCEPT the egg and flour into a large bowl.Mix well and cover with cling film, allow to soak for a few hours or over night.
    2. Add the beaten egg and flour to the fruit mixture and stir well.
    3. Bake in a lined loaf tin for 1hr 15mins -30mins in a moderate oven, 160c or 150c fan.
    4. When cooked allow to cool in the tin before removing, then wrap in clingfilm.


    Nice to serve cold with a spread of butter.
