Banana and honey hair mask

A different kind of recipe - although not intended to be eaten, it absolutely can! It tastes delicious. If you can resist the temptation, this hair mask is fantastic to use as a conditioner. Use it as a weekly deep conditioner. It's completely natural and your hair will LOVE you for it!

    Ingredients
    Makes: 1

    • 1 ripe banana
    • 1 tablespoon raw honey
    • 100g natural yoghurt

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Ready in:5min

    1. Add the ripe banana and the tablespoon of raw honey into your blender and whizz until smooth. Add the yoghurt and whizz again.
    2. If you need to add some liquid to make the mask smoother, add 1 tablespoon of milk and blend again.
    3. I prefer to make my hair wet before applying this mask as I find it easier to distribute through my hair, but you don't have to. Apply the hair mask to your hair and work through to the ends. Make sure you really massage it into your scalp too.
    4. Pop a shower cap on and leave for at least 30 minutes, but don't let the banana dry in your hair - that's no fun to get out!
    5. Once your time is up, wash out the mask and shampoo and condition as usual.

    Tip

It is important to get rid of any lumps in the banana, so if you are able to blend it then that would be the best way to make this hair mask. If you don't have a blender, use a fork to mash the banana and really work hard to get rid of any lumps.
