Sriracha-honey chicken legs

    Baked chicken legs are tossed in a sweet and spicy mix of honey, butter and sriracha chilli sauce in this easy weeknight dish full of flavour.

    Serves: 4 

    • 900g chicken legs, skin removed
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground thyme
    • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic granules
    • 1 teaspoon ground paprika
    • 1 teaspoon salt
    • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
    • 3 tablespoons raw honey
    • 3 tablespoons butter
    • 2 tablespoons sriracha chilli sauce
    • 1 1/2 tablespoons soy sauce

    1. Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas 4. Line a baking tray with foil.
    2. Combine chicken legs, olive oil, thyme, garlic granules, paprika, salt and pepper in a large bowl. Mix chicken legs until coated and arrange on the baking tray.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven until chicken legs are cooked through, 45 to 50 minutes.
    4. Combine honey, butter, sriracha sauce and soy sauce in a saucepan over medium-low heat; cook and stir until butter is melted and sauce is smooth, about 5 minutes.
    5. Pour sauce into a large bowl. Transfer chicken from the baking tray to the bowl using tongs; toss until coated with sauce.

    Tasty! My husband, 12 y.o. daughter, and I enjoyed the sauce, but we did not put the sauce on the chicken legs for my 7 y.o. son who prefers milder dishes.  -  15 Feb 2018  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)


    I made it mostly following the recipe but I used only 1 TB. of Sriracha but next time I'll definitely use two! Also I baked it for 30 minutes, then tossed it in the sauce before returning it to the oven for 20 minutes more. Delicious!  -  26 Jan 2018  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
