These kale crisps are dried out in a food dehydrator after being coated with a savoury vegan 'cheese' made with cashews, red pepper, chillies, garlic, spices and nutritional yeast. This is the most addicting vegan snack in the world! I just throw them in a bag and take them with me to snack on. I also sprinkle the kale crisps on salads to add a crunch.
Use 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper instead of the jalapeno pepper if you prefer.
Not sure what to make of this recipe but the end product was tasty enough for me to wish to do it again. Since I have never had anything like this before, I am not sure how mine should turn out, but once crisped enough, it was nice to eat a crunchy snack. - 07 Apr 2017
