This slow cooker beef pot roast is not expensive to make but tastes so good. For four servings use braising steak and cook in a slow cooker for 5 hours or more. Put it in the slow cooker after Sunday breakfast and by Sunday lunch it will be so delicious. Serve with chunks of your favourite bread (and butter) to mop up the lovely gravy. A bowl of love served to the family!
If you don't have a slow cooker, cook on the hob at a very low heat for 2-3 hours but check the liquid and add more stock if it looks dry. You could also use a microwave and cook on low for 90 minutes but this will make the dish have much more liquid as the microwave will not allow the meat and vegetables to absorb as much juice.
