Cornbeef hash pie

    My partner and I love this like a shepherd's pie. Easy to make. Serve either on its own or with vegetables of your choice.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 2 

    • 2 carrots, sliced
    • 1 tin corned beef
    • 100g frozen garden peas, or 1 tin peas
    • Worcestershire sause or barbecue sauce
    • salt and pepper to taste
    • 250 to 400g mashed potato
    • 1 to 2 handfuls grated cheese

    1. Cook the carrots in the microwave or in a pan of boiling water until tender. Drain and combine with the corned beef, peas, Worcestershire sauce or barbecue sauce, salt and pepper. Mix all together and put into a casserole dish.
    2. Top it with the mashed potatoes and then sprinkle the cheese on the top of the potatoes.
    3. Bake in a preheated 180 C / Gas 4 oven for about 20 minutes until browned.

    Tip

    If you prefer you can put baked beans into the cornbeef or any other vegetables you desire.
