Cream cheese frosting/icing

    Smooth creamy frosting, perfect for carrot cakes.

    • 150g Icing sugar
    • 1tsp vanilla essence
    • 200g cream cheese (softened)
    • 125g Butter (softened)


    1. Cream the butter and cream cheese in a large bowl.
    2. Stir in the vanilla essence
    3. Slowly and carefully stir in the icing sugar until all combined, you should have a smooth creamy frosting,


    - Use full fat cream cheese as low fat cheese will cause the frosting to separate. - If the butter is not soft enough it will cause lumpy butter in the frosting, you can save it at this stage by putting it in the microwave for 5-10 secs - be careful not to over heat it. - Add more icing sugar if you desire a sweeter frosting.
