Chocolate porridge with banana and walnuts

    Cacao powder, almond butter and milled flaxseed are mixed into porridge and topped with walnuts and banana for a filling, superfood breakfast.

    • 40g oats
    • 120ml water
    • 1 tablespoon cacao powder
    • 1 tablespoon almond butter
    • 1 tablespoon milled flaxseed
    • 1 tablespoon maple syrup
    • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
    • 1 banana, sliced
    • 1 tablespoon chopped walnuts

    1. Combine oats, water and cacao powder in a saucepan; bring to the boil. Reduce heat and simmer until water is absorbed, about 5 minutes. Remove porridge from heat.
    2. Stir almond butter, flaxseed, maple syrup and vanilla extract into porridge; transfer into a bowl and top with banana and walnuts.
