Apple, cheese and Branston pickle on toast

    This easy snack was seen on Blue Peter by my family a long time ago! Delicious for lunch.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 1 

    • peeled thin apple slices, to taste
    • 1 slice toasted bread
    • 1 to 2 slices cheese
    • Branston pickles (preferable the small chunks type), to taste

    Method
    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:5min  ›  Ready in:10min 

    1. Place as many apple slices as you would like on the toast.
    2. Cover with cheese. If the cheese entirely covers the toasted, it is less likely to burn around the edges.
    3. Melt the cheese under the hot oven grill, until it is just turning brown.
    4. Remove the toast from the grill and add generous spoonfuls of Branston pickle.
