Sift the flour into the bowl and mix with the sugar and salt.
Next, add the beaten egg and gradually the milk. You should have a thick batter. Add vanilla extract.
Use a non-stick frying pan or a normal pan with melted butter. Once pan is hot and the mixture is ready, pour about 1 tablespoon of the mixture into the pan. Cook for about a minute on each side depending on how hot the pan is.
