Preheat the oven to 200 C / Gas 6.
Drizzle some of the oil in a shallow oven dish. Evenly sprinkle all the other ingredients except the chives into the dish, coating the potatoes on all sides. Place the potatoes cut side down in the dish.
Bake in the middle of the oven till golden brown and cooked through, 30 to 35 minutes.
Flip potatoes over cut side up and sprinkle with chives.
If you have it, add 1 teaspoon chicken salt instead of onion and garlic powder. If using chicken salt, go easy on adding more salt.
Any leftovers can be cut up and added to a salad, or used in a Spanish omelette.
