Perfect mango lassi

    This delicious mango and yoghurt lassi with a hint of cardamom is great for extinguishing the fire in your mouth after eating hot curries!

    Serves: 4 

    • 500g plain yoghurt
    • 250ml milk
    • 3 mangoes - peeled, stones removed and chopped
    • 4 teaspoons caster sugar, or to taste
    • 1/8 teaspoon ground cardamom

    1. Place the yoghurt, milk, mangoes, sugar and cardamom into the jar of a blender and blend until smooth, about 2 minutes. Chill in the fridge for 1 hour or until cold, and serve sprinkled with a little ground cardamom.

    I used vanilla yoghurt instead of plain yoghurt and I skipped the milk. I also used a teaspoon of cinnamon instead of cardamom and it was perfect. Very tasty and full of nutrients.  -  15 Feb 2010  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)


    I make mango lassis with mango pulp, usually kesar...skip milk and cardamom add no sugar or milk, and drop a touch of vanilla into the mix and i use about one and a half sups yogurt,and 3-4 cups of pulp i make it by taste but this is the best recipe ever where did you get the indian mangos? south america's mangos suck! i am from india, so i would know  -  21 Nov 2010  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
