    Matcha powder, flaxseeds, chia seeds, bananas and spinach are blended together in this vegan smoothie that is a great start to the day.

    Serves: 1 

    • 1 banana
    • 50g frozen spinach, chopped
    • 70g frozen mixed fruit of your choice
    • 1 tablespoon milled flaxseed
    • 1/2 scoop vegan protein powder
    • 1 tablespoon chia seeds
    • 1/2 teaspoon matcha green tea powder

    1. Layer banana, spinach, mixed fruit, flaxseed, protein powder, chia seeds and matcha powder in a blender in the order listed. Add enough water to cover. Cover blender and blend until smooth.

    This is such a versatile smoothie. I used organic fresh strawberries and bananas, frozen organic blueberries, fresh russian red kale from my garden in place of the spinach and left out the whey powder.
