Pork and apple sausage rolls

1. Cook the apples and water in a pan until they are mushy.
2. Roll the sausagemeat into a long thin rectangle and spread the cooked apple on top.
3. Roll the pastry twice the width of the sausagemeat and a bit longer.
4. Place the pastry over the top of the sausagemeat, turn over, and seal underneath by brushing the beaten egg around the edges of the pastry.
5. Turn the sausage roll over and make small slits across the top to let out the steam.
6. Brush the top of the pastry with egg and bake in a pre heated oven on 200 C / Gas 6 for 30 minutes. Cool before serving.
