Chive blossom vinegar

    If you don't cut chives and let them bloom, you get lovely flowers which make a very aromatic vinegar. Just make sure that the chives have not been sprayed with chemicals.

    Ingredients
    Makes: 1 small bottle

    • 1 handful chive blossoms
    • 500ml apple cider vinegar

    Method

    1. Wash the blossoms and dry well with kitchen roll. Place blossoms in a sterilised jar and fill up with vinegar. Close with a lid and let sit for one week in a dark cool place. Strain and pour into a sterilised bottle and seal with a cork.
