Homemade green tea ice cream is easy to prepare using green tea (matcha) powder, milk and cream. You could use plain or Greek yoghurt instead of milk.

475ml whole milk
475ml whipping cream
4 egg yolks
100g caster sugar
5 tablespoons green tea powder (matcha)

Combine milk and cream in a saucepan over low heat. Slowly stir egg yolks, sugar and green tea powder into milk mixture until green tea powder is dissolved, avoiding liquid coming to the boil, about 5 minutes. Pass mixture through a sieve into a bowl and cool to room temperature, at least 30 minutes.
Pour milk mixture into an ice cream maker and follow manufacturer's instructions for ice cream.
