Fussy eaters tomato pasta sauce

    A simple and easy to make pasta sauce, ideal for fussy eaters!

    • Half tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    • 1 large onion, finely diced
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 4 teaspoons tomato paste
    • 2 400g tins of chopped tomatoes
    • Sprinkle Italian mixed herbs
    • pinch salt
    • 250ml water
    • 50ml milk


    1. Heat the oil in a pan over medium-low heat, and fry off the garlic and onion until soft.
    2. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, herbs, and 250ml water.
    3. Cook for 25 minutes on a medium heat until the sauce thickens.
    4. Take the sauce off the heat and blend with milk and salt to taste, until smooth.


    Serve with 90g (when dry) fusilli pasta and 45g mature cheddar cheese for a healthy and delicious family friendly meal!
