Fussy eaters tomato pasta sauce

    A simple and easy to make smooth pasta sauce, ideal for fussy eaters.

    Serves: 4 

    • 1/2 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
    • 2 cloves garlic
    • 1 large onion, finely diced
    • 2 (400g) tins chopped tomatoes
    • 4 teaspoons tomato paste
    • 1 sprinkle Italian mixed herbs
    • 250ml water
    • 50ml milk
    • 1 pinch salt

    1. Heat the oil in a pan over medium-low heat. Fry off the garlic and onion until soft.
    2. Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato paste, herbs, and 250ml water.
    3. Cook for 25 minutes on a medium heat until the sauce thickens.
    4. Take the sauce off the heat and blend with milk and salt to taste, until smooth.


    Serve with 90g fusilli pasta and 45g mature Cheddar cheese per serving for a healthy and delicious family friendly meal
