Super sexy biscuits

    42 min

I was trying another recipe when I realised I did not have enough ground almonds but I had already started. So I made different biscuits adding some almond paste left over from Christmas and what a surprise - super sexy biscuits.

    • 2 tablespoons golden syrup

    • 80g almond paste (marzipan left over from Christmas)

    1. Melt the butter and beat with sugar, vanilla, almond extract and syrup. Mix well, then add ground almonds, almond paste and baking powder.
    2. Mix in the beaten egg, and mix the flour and coconut in until blended. Leave dough to sit for 10 to 15 minutes to firm up.
    3. Preheat the oven to 180 C / Gas 4.
    4. Form the dough into small balls and flatten slightly. If you want you can add white chocolate chips into the centre of the biscuit at this stage.
    5. Place the biscuits on a baking tray with ample distance between them.
    6. Bake until edges just start turning golden, about 10 to 12 minutes.
    7. Remove from oven and leave on tray for 2 minutes, before transferring to wire rack to cool.
