About this recipe:
An easy peasy treacle tart. Use a shop-bought pastry case to make this extra simple.
1 (23cm) pastry case
120g dried breadcrumbs
350g golden syrup
60ml double cream
finely grated zest of 1 lemon
2 tablespoons lemon juice
- Mix the syrup, breadcrumbs, cream, grated lemon zest and lemon juice together in a bowl.
- Pour the mixture into the prepared pastry case.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 190 C / Gas 5 for about 35-40 minutes, or until the filling is set.
- Leave the tart to cool slightly before serving.
EXCELLENT!! NO FUSS!! Made it for the parents coming round (dads fav!) and went down a storm! Will defo be making it again! Thanx!
