Sweet and smoky baked salmon

    This sweet and smoky baked salmon recipe uses a spice rub made with paprika and chilli powder.

    Serves: 4 

    • 4 salmon fillets
    • 2 tablespoons olive oil
    • 2 tablespoons soft brown sugar
    • 4 cloves garlic, minced
    • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
    • 1 teaspoon paprika
    • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
    • 1/2 lemon

    1. Preheat the oven to 220 C / Gas 7. Lightly grease a baking tray.
    2. Place salmon fillets on the prepared tray. Mix olive oil, brown sugar, garlic, smoked paprika, paprika and chilli powder together in a bowl. Spread mixture over salmon fillets. Squeeze lemon juice on top.
    3. Bake in the preheated oven until fish flakes easily with a fork, 13 to 15 minutes.
