Easy peasy pesto mince pasta

    20 min

With just four ingredients you can make a satisfying homemade supper to please the whole family! Use your favourite pasta and almost any pasta shape. Besides beef mince, you can use a vegetarian mince, turkey mince, pork mince or even sausagemeat.

    Serves: 6

    • 500g short pasta (such as penne, macaroni)
    • 450g beef mince
    • 115g pesto of choice
    • 120ml soured cream

    Prep:5min  ›  Cook:15min  ›  Ready in:20min

    1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil. Cook pasta in the boiling water, stirring occasionally until tender yet firm to the bite, 8 minutes. Drain.
    2. Heat a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook and stir mince in the hot pan until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard any grease. Stir pesto and soured cream into mince until warmed; add pasta and mix well.

    Cook's note

I prefer red pesto in this dish. Amounts can vary according to preference.

It was ok. It was easy to make but will probably not make again.  -  04 Dec 2018  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

Bland, bland, bland. You have to add so much to this to get it to taste at all.  -  22 Jul 2018  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)

I was very satisfied with the results. It was a quick and easy. My only recommendation would be to add some shredded cheese. I opted for cheddar  -  12 Jan 2019  (Review from Allrecipes US | Canada)
