Apple Halloween punch for kids

    A fun drink for Halloween: Carve a face into apples and bake till shriveled then let them float in apple punch like mummified skulls.

    Ingredients
    Serves: 16 

    • 8 apples
    • 1 lemon, juiced
    • 3L chilled apple juice
    • 2L chilled sparkling water

    Method

    1. Preheat your oven to 120 C / Gas 1/2. Line a baking tray with greaseproof paper.
    2. Peel apples and remove core with an apple corer. Carve a face into the apple like you would for a pumpkin. Drizzle with lemon juice.
    3. Place apples with the face down on the baking tray and bake till lightly brown at the edges, about 60 to 90 minutes. Let cool.
    4. Pour apple juice and sparkling water in punch bowl and add apples.
