Creamy Parmesan sauce

    Making your own Parmesan sauce for pasta or lasagne is pretty easy. The trick is to use a Microplane® grater to grate the Parmesan cheese as finely as possible. This recipe is gluten free.

    Serves: 4 

    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 150ml double cream
    • 160g finely grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 pinch freshly grated nutmeg, or to taste (optional)

    1. Melt butter in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir with a wooden spoon and add cream. Stir until combined.
    2. Add Parmesan cheese to the cream mixture in the saucepan and stir until blended. Season with nutmeg.
