Bechamel sauce for lasagne

    This is my recipe for lasagne that you can use for any type of lasagne - with mince, veg or other.

    Serves: 8 

    • 45g butter
    • 6 tablespoons plain flourl
    • 400ml milk
    • 200ml single cream
    • 1 pinch nutmeg
    • 1 teaspoon salt

    1. In a saucepan melt butter over low heat. Gradually add the flour whilst stirring until it forms a paste.
    2. Remove the pan from the hob and add milk and cream. Whisk till smooth.
    3. Return the pan to the hob and cook over low heat whilst stirring till the sauce thickens, about 2 to 3 minutes. Add nutmeg and salt.
