Amaretto Vodka

This vodka cocktail is reminiscent of a liqueur. Perfect for after dinner at your next party.

Ingredients

  • 225ml (8 fl oz) water
  • 200g (7 oz) caster sugar
  • 75g (3 oz) dark brown soft sugar
  • 550ml (18 fl oz) vodka
  • 2 tablespoons almond extract
  • 1 dessertspoon vanilla extract

Preparation method

  1.   Combine water and sugars in a saucepan over medium heat. Heat until the mixture is boiling, and all of the sugar is dissolved. Remove pan from heat and let the mixture cool for 10 minutes.
  2.   Stir vodka, almond extract and vanilla extract into the mixture. Serve warm or chilled.

    good result , but did find the sunflower oil from the Dr. Oetker Almond natural extract seperated and rose to the top of the bottle, which was then skimmed off.
