Spaghetti alla carbonara with cream

    I've seen all sorts of stuff on the Internet about Carbonara not supposed to contain cream. As long as it's as good as this recipe, who cares....

    Serves: 4 

    • 375g spaghetti
    • salt
    • 150g streaky bacon, diced
    • 1 tablespoon olive oil
    • 4 eggs
    • 50g grated Parmesan cheese
    • 5 tablespoons double cream
    • 20g butter

    1. Cook spaghetti in a large pot of salted water till al dente. Drain.
    2. Meanwhile fry bacon in oil in a frying pan till crispy and browned.
    3. In a bowl beat eggs with cheese and cream will smooth.
    4. Melt butter in pan, add cooked spaghetti and toss till spaghetti are evenly coated.
    5. Pour egg mixture into pan and toss over very how heat till well combined. The eggs should not fully set. Serve at once.
