225g mature Cheddar cheese, grated
350g natural cottage cheese
250ml container soured cream
4 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

125g dried breadcrumbs

Preheat oven to 180 C / Gas mark 4. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to the boil, add pasta, and cook until al dente; drain.
In 22x33cm baking dish, stir together macaroni, grated Cheddar, cottage cheese, soured cream, Parmesan, salt and pepper. In a small bowl, mix together breadcrumbs and melted butter. Sprinkle topping over macaroni mixture.
Bake 30 to 35 minutes in the preheated oven, or until topping is golden.
This is a family favorite and the dish I take when someone is sick, or there is a death or to pot luck dinners. It is simple, yummy and what else do you really need from macaroni cheese.
