Cook pasta in lightly salted boiling water according to the timing on the packaging; drain and transfer pasta into a large salad bowl.
Add 1 tablespoon of olive oil; allow pasta to cool at room temperature for a few minutes.
Add the capers, tuna, freshly chopped basil and cherry tomatoes to the pasta. Season with salt and pepper; toss to mix and chill salad in fridge for at least 2 hours.
Just before serving, drizzle remaining tablespoon of olive oil on top and garnish with grated Parmesan cheese.
