Old fashioned lemonade, very refreshing and normally made to be served within 24 hours.

Ingredients
Serves: 10
- 400g caster sugar
- 25g cream of tartar
- 2 large lemons, cut into slices
- 3 litres of boiling water

- in a large jug, pour boiling water over sliced lemons. Add sugar and cream of tartar, and stir to dissolve. Allow to cool then serve.
Cook's note
In Scotland we do not get too many really warm days so we add a tot of whisky and call it a hot toddy.
